Step 1:

Make a tight ponytail with a sturdy hair band at the height you want your bun to be and pull it through the bobby pin.

Step 2:

Wrap your ponytail evenly around the bob and tuck the ends under it, catching the excess length with a tight rubber band.

Step 3:

Wrap the rest of the braid around the base of the bun and hide it underneath as much as possible.
Step 4: For the perfect visual effect, hold with tweezers if necessary.
